Campus Store Graffiti Removal

Lambda Chi Alpha made the papers for our spirited volunteer work to remove graffiti from the new Campus Store and stone wall overlooking Libe Slope. Due to the volume of vandalism around campus, the university could not afford to remove it themselves; Day Hall called Omicron’s offer of help a “ray of sunshine,” and the chapter was praised in the Cornell Daily Sun for almost a week, perhaps illustrating the charged political atmosphere on campus.

The day after the removal, pranksters returned and painted the chapter letters on the concrete. This vandalism was later removed by workmen.
