Mel Hollengreen and His Ghost

Milburn A. “Mel” Hollengreen, Jr., the wild man of the house and a dearly beloved brother, is killed horrifically in an auto accident in Florida. He had just flown brothers down in a Piper Cub to Grand Bahama Island for spring break.

Not long afterwards, it is observed that his photo on the composite had fallen off, and that a presence was felt around his old haunt on the dorm, a chair by the south window. The blame was placed on Hollengreen's Ghost, and Hollengreen's Chair was preserved in memory. In 1965, the west parlor was dedicated to his memory, becoming the Hollengreen Room as it is still known today.
