Visiting Lambda Chi

Special Note: For the 2014–2015 academic year, the Cornell chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha will operate out of One Edgecliff Place on North Campus while our house is under construction. The property at 125 Edgemoor Lane is an active construction zone and access is strictly forbidden.

Edgemoor is situated on Cascadilla Gorge just below Cornell Law School; it is the closest fraternity house to Collegetown.

When to Visit

We welcome guests, whether parents, alumni, brothers from other zetas, or friends. If you’re planning a visit, however, we strongly recommend contacting the High Alpha so the house is prepared to receive visitors. For the major weekends, please see the pages for Reunion Weekend and Homecoming.

The house is occupied year-round, but check the Cornell Academic Calendar for break and exam periods.

In the wintertime, be sure to check the weather forecast and University Operating Status as well.

Directions and Parking

The Visiting Cornell page provides links to maps, directions, and parking information.

Limited metered parking is available on the street, and on evenings and weekends parking is permitted in the SA lots across the street and up the street. Please note that the house parking lot is full and must be kept clear for deliveries and in case of emergency; no parking is available at the house.

Walking from Collegetown/Schwartz CPA

Cross the College Avenue bridge north towards campus. Turn left onto the unmarked footpath between the gorge and the Law Library, and proceed downhill past Hughes Dining. The parking lot at the bottom of the stairs exits onto Edgemoor Lane.

Walking from Baker Flagpole

From the driveway in front of the fitness center, cross Campus Road and take the footpath south toward the Center for Jewish Living. Continue south on West Ave. Ext. past Deke and 104 West, and our house should be visible where West Ave. Ext. terminates into Edgemoor Lane.
